No 2 Chapel Street

Maden Eco are redeveloping the former City Electrical Factors building in Chapel Street. Below are a series of carousels showing both the progress on the project as well as some architectural illustrations.

Work is progressing quickly in building the internal framing and has reached the full height of the building. External scaffolding will go up next week and we all hope the Berwick weather is kind to us! The whole team were delighted this week to have the first reservation on one of the flats.

We are currently building up the new eco frame within the building shell and have reached the stage of first floor TJi silent joist system being installed and the serices are being routed into the building.. A 250mm reinforced raft foundation has been poured over the whole floor area to carry the new eco frame.

Rettie & Co have been appointed as selling agents and shortly we will be putting signage up on the fascade to show people how the finished building will look. We have early bird offers on including solar PV, karndean flooring, white goods and interior choices. These properties are being built to standards beyond the current building regulations and will have extremely low running costs. Each flat will have a parking space and a lift will be available. Completion is expected late September.

This is an architectural sketch of the proposed layout of the second floor - there will be three flats here.
